Project Description
Construct a New Yard Layover Facility for Metrolink Commuter Trains. As a Subcontractor to L.A. Engineering Inc., JA Placek Construction Co. was responsible for construction of all new and realigned tracks.
Scope of Work
Construct approximately 6,000TF (track-feet) of Four (4) New Tracks, two (2EA) Power Operated Mainline Turnouts, and four (4EA) Manual Operated Yard Turnouts with 136# CWR and Wood Ties. Constructed 1-power operated single point derail, 4-blue flag derails, 5-bumping posts, 4-track collector pan systems, and 2,400TF of rubber rail flangeway on paved Mainline Tracks. Shift, realign, and resurface approximately 1,400TF of Mainline Track.
